Volunteer FAQ
What age do you have to be to volunteer?
We welcome volunteers of all ages! For those under 18, a signed permission form from a parent or guardian is required & any child under 16 must come accompanied by their parent/guardian during the full duration of their volunteer time.
Is your facility wheelchair friendly?
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to provide proper accommodations for our volunteers with mobility aids due to our current pigroom being inside of a residential home. However! We host events in several wheelchair friendly locations and we would love to have you there!
Do you get to work directly with guinea pigs or is it just cleaning cages?
We know guinea pigs are just irresistibly cute! You are welcome to work directly with our guinea pigs during your time here as a volunteer during our "piggy playtime" sessions! Where you can sit with & pet the guinea pigs to help them get socialized!
